Here’s a list of the links from today’s session, all in one, handy-dandy location for future reference:
- Audacity, the free, cross-platform sound editor
- Audioboo
- Openshot
- Avidemux
- Windows Movie Maker 2.6
- My short Marketing video
- Blip.tv video encoding settings
- Vimeo video encoding settings

- Universal Subtitles
- Buffy-Edward mashup, annotated
- Mozilla Popcorn maker

I just checked out http://www.universalsubtitles.org/en/, but I have not yet tried it. Have you used Overstream.net? Is it easier? Comparable? Thank you for sharing this!
I haven’t used Overstream, but judging by Overstream’s tutorial on the FAQ page, Universal’s interface looks like it is much easier to use. The other difference I see is that Overstream supports only “YouTube, Google Video, MySpace Video, Veoh, Blip.tv, Archive.org and Vimeo.com,” whereas Universal Subtitles supports any video on the web (including videos hosted on my own WordPress installation as just a link to the video file).
